Tuning your Instrument to a Keyboard

From low to high, here are the standard tunings

In the following chart, middle C is designated as C4  and the C below  that is C2.  In assigning a numeral to gradually increasing pitches, the number increases as you come to an A.  For example, increasing from C3 to C4 you would say:


C3, D3, E3, F3, G3, A4, B4, C4.

So here are the pitches for standard tunings on various instruments.
